Important Update from the State House February 10, 2017

UPDATE: HB 478 has NOT been scheduled for a hearing next week.

Recently, there have been some rumors flying around at the State House that HB 478—legislation that seeks to explicitly protect transgender Granite Staters under state law—would be scheduled for a hearing next week.

And while we can 100% confirm that there will NOT be a hearing on HB 478 next week, we know that if we keep building on the positive momentum this campaign has harnessed so far—we could secure a hearing in the HHS committee as soon as the following week.

Help us ramp up pressure in support of HB 478. Click here to sign a pledge urging HHS committee members to support transgender protections! We will make sure all pledges are submitted directly to the committee.

We’ve got positive signals from sources under the Gold Dome that a hearing on HB 478 is imminent. That would not have been possible without the unprecedented grassroots movement you helped build.

But now is no time to let up. The window of time for you to voice your support for HB 478 is narrowing by the day.

And now more than ever we have to keep the pressure on to ensure that when committee members do consider HB 478, they know a strong majority of Granite Staters support transgender protections.

Make your voice count. Click here to sign the pledge and ask HHS committee members to stand with constituents in support of transgender non-discrimination.

Thanks. And as soon as the HHS committee hearing on HB 478 is officially rescheduled in the legislative calendar, you will be the first to know!
