CONCORD, N.H. — The New Hampshire House of Representatives voted 187-179 to table House Bill 478 just now.
Linds Jakows, campaign manager for Freedom New Hampshire, released the following statement regarding the development:
“We’re very disappointed with this morning’s vote. Our transgender neighbors’ lives are on the line, and we deserve an open debate and vote for our safety and well being. The House has until they adjourn tonight to do this, and we hope they will.”
Freedom New Hampshire is a nonpartisan coalition working to educate people about what it means to be transgender, the unique hardships that transgender people face and to grow support for fair and equal treatment of transgender Granite Staters under the law.
